High throughput spinning disc

The BD pathway is suited for high throughput epifluorescence, transmitted light and Nipkow spinning disc confocal imaging.

The machine has been used for live imaging of apoptosis, cell proliferation and transcription factor dynamics. Another application is imaging and quantification of immunostained cells (e.g. DNA damage, NF-kB nuclear translocation, EGFR signaling, 3D tubulogenesis).

Use:

High-content confocal and epifluorescence imaging of living and fixed cells.

Features:
  • Connected to a Caliper Liconics incubator, Twister II robotic arm and barcode scanner for high throughput screening.
  • Imaging across full spectrum from 340 nm to 750 nm.
  • 16 different excitation filters
  • Environmental control
  • Liquid handling
  • Binocular eyepiece for direct viewing of cells in both fluorescence and transmitted light modes.
